Hi!

ok, it seems like hotels in Cape Town are about twice as expensive as
in JoBurg (when comparing the InterConti in both cities or others...)

Here are a some expensive but very nice hotels (all 5 star plus,
whatever that means...):

1) Cape Grace, $262 for a suite.
2) Villa Via Cape Town, $200 for a double.
3) the Nellie (Nelson something), $350 for a double, $520 for a suite.
4) Sun Intercontinental, $258 for a double.

1) and 2) seem affordable, 1) is actually quite a good deal, if we can
split the suite 4-ways. 3) might be the bands hotel, it's not a Hyatt
but it's from the Hyatt group, really expensive though and 4) is also
quite expensive...

1) is my preferrence, if there are 2-3 other people who want to split
a room (and the hotel is ok with that) and 2) if there's only one.

You can get more info about the hotels at:
http://www.hotelguide.com/cgi-bin/thg/search?Cou_Name=South+Africa&Sta_Name=%28any%29&Are_Name=%28any%29&Cit_Name=&Hot_Name=&MaxMatches=100&Class6=6&Hot_Aircon=1&Hot_Pool=1&RateSingle=%28no+limit%29&RateDouble=%28no+limit%29
(all in one line...)

Other options, less luxurious:
- The Capetonian (4star) at $75
- The Town House (4star+) at $79
- Victoria Junction (4star) at $90
- De Waal Holiday Inn Garden Court (3star) at $67

The last one actually seems quite nice (on the picture) even though
it's only 3 stars...

What do others think/plan ?
