Do we know who all will be going to Cape Town? What type of accomodations
does everyone want? I.E. a top of the line place where the band may be
staying? Or cheap but clean? I know of a place that meets the latter
criteria that is near the Waterfront, and my only guess on the former would
be the Sun Intercontinental in downtown Cape Town.

As far as a motor coach, that could be fun, we could play out our own
version Road Rules, however, bear in mind it is at least a 12 hour drive.
I will probably opt for airfare in order to maximize my 'tourist' time. If
you do rent a vehicle and drive to Jo'burg, consider taking the Garden
Route up the Indian Ocean coastline to Durban and then cut North to
Jo'burg. This will add a considerable amount of time to your trip, but if
you have the time I hear it is absolutely beautiful. Durban has a very
large Indian population, nice beaches, and is about 5 hours from Jo-burg.

I am certainly up for sharing accomodations as well, particularly if we opt
for a more expensive hotel. As I said before, my friend can book us in
nice guest houses in Cape Town for anywhere from $35 - $50 (or more if
desired) per person/night.
Who wants what type of accomodations in Cape Town?

I have already booked my plane and it's not really refundable, so I
won't take part in this. I had thought about taking the train for
quite a while, but then I decided against it, since it takes too much
time. I am only going to be down there for a week, so I want to spend
the least time possible travelling around, there's so much to see in
the surroundings of Cape Town.
If possible, I'd like to know soon about accomodations in Cape Town
and if we want to stay somewhere as a group, we need to find out, when
everybody plans to leave for JoBurg.
As mentioned before, I get to Cape Town on Sunday morning, 8:25am and
leave for JoBurg on Friday, 9:25am. So I will need a bed from Sunday
until Friday, anybody else ?
