Yes, the non US airlines should be cheaper. I tried this originally and
came up with high rates too. $1200 on Lan Chile and $1148 on Air
Argentina. If you know of any other airlines I'll run it by the travel
agent and see what happens.

Also, I'm still waiting to hear back about 10 seats on United. The agent
said we might be able to get a great group rate (in the $800 range) and
that 10 seats are currently on hold for the group (I don't remember the
exact flight details, but it's JFK->BA). She claimed that if any airline
would come through with a cheap fair at this late date it would be United.

As you mentioned February is peak tourist season in Argentina so many of
the cheaper fairs may already be filled up :( I ran into this problem when
going to Vegas, I kept hearing about all these cheap fairs, but by the
time I went to get a ticket they were all gone and I ended up with a
standard price ticket.

What is "H class service"?

Yes, courier service sounds like a *really* cheap way to go. Has anyone
tried reserving a flight this way?
