Computers as my hobby
I started hacking with an old ATARI 260 ST, which I mostly needed to
code some demos. My next machine was a special one:
A NeXTstation color.
Of course I installed NEXTSTEP on it, which is a great operating
system and graphical user interface. You know why, if you ever used
it (there is an effort called GNUstep
to create a free implementation of OpenStep).
My current machine is a DELL PC with the
free Linux operating system. Even
though I have a PC, there is not one single piece of Microsoft
software on it.
Places to find me
What I do
- When I was still active on NEXTSTEP, I coded on FileSpy , my logfile observer.
- Sometimes I surf through the net, but I woun't give you a list
of web-pages, as this seems sensless to me. If you're looking for
something specific, try one of the following search engines:
- I am a member of the
managing
board of the NiCE - NeXT
User Group Switzerland.
- I am also the maintainer of some
Usenet
pages. They contain hints about the Usenet in Switzerland as well
as the Netiquette and other interesting Usenet-materials. You might
be interested in them if you're new to the Usenet.
- Further, I was president of the
SIUG - Swiss Internet User
Group.
