Yebo, dudes!
I can't bring myself to listen to anything just yet. I think this weekend,
I'll be able to cope. I didn't get any Bayete, cause I couldn't remember
their name. : ( I'll have to see what I can dig up around here, or
online.....or just go back there next year! : )
Good news and bad news last night.....I go to class, sit there skimming
through Wire, wondering where 3/4 of the class is. Turns out there was a
scheduling conflict with the teacher for our next(and final) module, and
classes were cancelled this week. Argh!! So the good news is, I didn't miss
that class I was worried about. The bad news is I coulda spent a few days in
London or Dublin on the way home : (
And the really bad news is that classes are now extended an extra week, which
translates into remaining in my prison(job) for an extra 2-3weeks! Shoot me
now.
But ya know....after the last week...I just don't care! I refuse to let that
place and those people get me down again. I'm just concentrating on getting
resumes out, and attending some upcoming job fairs. Perhaps a good sign...on
the flight back to Boston I was sitting next to a guy who contracts at MIT who
said they have a ton of job openings, will take entry level, and have openings
in web development area! I dunno what the money is like, and they only give 2
weeks vaca (horrors!!), but sounds like an atmosphere I could totally get into
for a year. Something else to check out! I know all this suffering is
leading to something good for me! : )
Watched Clinton speaking in Cape Town today. I really hope his speech is not
just words and that he really is making a commitment to helping South Africa.
He will spend a day in Johannesburg on Saturday. I just couldn't help
watching Nelson Mandela, and thinking how it was only days ago we were in his
house, amongst his belongings and clothes.
Well, I've finally caught up on sleep...2 12hr nights. ; ) Now off to do the
mountain of laundry. Ahhhh, reality.
