an upbeat Bono.

Lead vocalist Bono said after touching down: "We've always believed it
to be a great country and feel we are here to see it come of age."

Big's the word for U2, and they're completely geared up to be the
world's biggest, flashiest, noisiest stadium act, dedicated to causes
and powerful enough to make countries sit up and take notice
including South Africa, where the Irish group banned all sales of their
records here in the 1980s in protest against apartheid.
