Cool. Anyone else have a line on tickets? If we arrive without, I'd say
from past experience to be prepared to pay up to R$500 for them, but that
you'll probably get something pretty good for around R$200 or so. it's
half the adventure. ;-)

Looks like Mat and I are going, but we already have our tickets. Who else
is going/looking at going right now?

If anyone doesn't mind shelling out (and with a $1000 plane ticket...) I
would count on the band being at either the Intercontinental in Sandton or
the Hyatt in Rosebank. My money's on the Hyatt, and that's where we're
planning to stay. R$930/night for the Hyatt if anyone's interested.

That would be FANTASTIC! How would be arrange this Karen? Do you advise
bringing some US Cash, or will Rand suffice? On that subject, I assume
there are plenty of ABMs in JoBurg that take visa/plus/cirrus?

I know you've been and would like some advice. We figure since we arrive
at 11am friday, we'll need most of the day to wander town and rest up. We
were talking about making Saturday a see town and U2 type day. Sunday,
however, we have a whole day free and would like to do some sort of safari
type deal if such a thing can be done in one day. What would y ou
recommend?

We don't leave until 8pm Monday, so we were going to try and arange a tour
of Soweto. Any ideas?

I'll recommend we all get together sometime Saturday and hang out?
Anyone? Of course, this is all mat's fault. We went out last night and
spent the whole night listening to me shoot off about South America and
Australia. I wasn't going to spend any more money, but assuming work
comes through today....
