The first thing that I have to say is that it was an amazing and
incredible experience
to see U2 in concert...
It has been a dream come true....
Since I heard for the first time in 1983 New Year's Day I always wanted
to see them...
I waited 15 years to see them playing live and finally I had the chance
to do it.
I was in Buenos Aires for the shows on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th and I
went to Santiago
de Chile for the show on wednesday 11th
I traveled by bus from Lima, Peru to Argentina to see U2 playing live
my friends told me that I was crazy for doing this, but I am U2 fan and
I think
that I am crazy...It was an opportunity that I would not lose for any
reason.
I had seen several photos in internet and some little videos from the
Popmart on tv
but being near to the b-stage , watching the big screen is an experience
that I
will never forget....
I will remember every one of the 3 concerts that I was...
the first show on Friday 6th I will remember it because it was my first
U2 concert
and what a concert ..!!
I sang every song, I screamed ...I could feel that U2 is the greatest
band on earth....
in the second concert I could take some pictures...maybe those pictures
are not
the best pictures of the Popmart but are mine....
and every time I saw them.. the songs, the images come to my mind and I
think
that I am in the concert again...
In the last show in Santiago I tried to capture every moment of the
show..
because it was the last show ...I knew that I would never be in another
Popmart
so I lived those moments intensively....
For me the best moments of the shows were
- The intro with PopMuzik
- Even better than the real thing
- New Year's Day (when they played it I remembered my school days)
- Pride and the endless "oh oh oh oh...."
- Where the streets have no name and the color orange around every
place..
- The lemon part
- With or without you ( I remembered an ex-girlfriend)
- Hold me thrill me kiss me kill me
- One ( I remember my girlfriend )
- Mothers of the disappeard (in the 80's in my country (Peru) there were
disappeared
people caused by the violence of the terrorism, so I lived those days
watching
mothers crying for their sons and daugthers and husbands)
Popmart is the greatest show on earth....
I want to thank you Elena, you are a nice person and I really enjoyed
the time when
we met in Buenos Aires...
Thanks to Darci, Nico, Henry, Christian and Martin..
I never thought that I could find you, we were supposed to meet us
before
the show on Friday 6th...but it never happened... finally I found you
near the
b-stage and we had a good time....
Henry ... I read your e-mail and I read the paragraph when you talk
about me...
thank you....
Darci , I hope you can go to Tokyo...
Finally I hope someday we could meet again....maybe in the next U2 tour
or mabye when I go to New York or to Chicago or to Oregon....
I don't know....but in any case we will keep in touch by e-mails
