oh wait I am not supposed to be happy about that...okay this is what my
"health care provider told me" about getting shots for South America:

my "health care provider" reccomended that U get a Hepititas A shot as it will
prevent U from getting that type of hepititas from the water...bottled or tap.
Also make sure that U have a current tetnis shot (one that was given 4 years
ago to present). Also they reccomend that U take some Imodium to help prevent
dirahea...(ohhhhh....gross) and also my health care provider is going to give
me some antibiotics in case I get sick as well. Ummm also U have to get the
Hepititas shot 2 weeks prior to when U leave so U cannot put it off until the
last minute...ALSO U need to make sure that U have had all your shots from
when U were a kid...such as Polio and Measles....otherwise u need to get those
as well.

some other reccomendations are:
do not eat any uncooked food...this includes salads, fruit (unless U peel it
yourself), drink bottled water that was bottled and imported from the US or
Europe only....do not drink any that was bottled there. They HIGHLY reccomend
that U boil any water U wish to drink but she also said that she knows that is
virtually impossible if U are in a hotel..but if U have the opportunity take
it.

ummmmm that is all for now....
